Born from my year-long struggle with mental health, the Western Lowland Gorilla Project became my creative outlet—rekindling my passion for design and transforming negativity into art. The project represents the culmination of this endeavour, seamlessly integrating Photoshop and After Effects to portray the challenges faced by these magnificent creatures. Every detail, from the raindrops conveying sorrow to the crimson teardrop symbolising our shared duty to safeguard our planet, mirrors the emotional odyssey I have undergone. Ultimately, it reminds us that even in adversity, positive change is always possible.

I designed a compelling motion video that brings the project to life with rich detail and fluid animation. Using Photoshop to enhance textures and After Effects for seamless motion, I created an immersive, realistic visual experience. This dynamic piece complements the broader campaign, aligning with striking print materials and engaging digital creatives for a lasting impact.

To complement the motion video, I designed static story and grid posts, using key frames to maintain visual cohesion. By selecting dynamic moments, I ensured the creatives retained the videos’ energy, creating a seamless link between motion and static content.
